Unless Flower Farm: find them on facebook

Unless Flower Farm is a small cut flower farm situated on 1/10th of an acre. While always remaining true to New England seasonality, owner Ann Cwik grows bouquet and wedding blooms aiming to provide both scented, vintage, heirloom and hard to ship varieties that you might not find in a typical grocery store bouquet. To quote author Amy Stewart: “[Today]…roughly three-fourths of our flowers are imports, mostly coming from Latin America. They are now bred more for suitability as freight than for any of their more refined qualities–delicacy, grace and fragrance.” Ann strives to grow flowers that retain their true identity, fickleness, wild and sometimes miss-behaved characteristics lost to modern and commercial breeding and production practices. There has been a recent resurgence to bring cut flower production back onto domestic soil and Unless Flower Farm is part of this movement, aptly titled: The Slow Flower Movement.
Come see the intensive planting techniques, weed control and organic management practices that the farm utilizes to grow these blooms, as well as the family vegetables that have always been a mainstay grown for the owners small children and personal enjoyment.
Guided walking tours to be given on the half hours.
